Terracamper is a bus manufactory for travel and expedition, building high-quality off-road camper conversions since 2004 from its workshop in Calden, near Kassel. The range spans base vehicles from the compact VW Transporter to the Ford Transit Custom, VW Crafter and the all-terrain Mercedes-Benz G-Class, combined with multiple build systems, model lines (TECAMP, TEROCK, TECRAWL, TEGRAVEL) and roof variants — a genuinely complex configuration matrix. Two engineers took over the company in 2019, continuing it as a family-run manufactory with modern, CNC-supported production.
The Challenge
New ownership inherited a genuinely complex product: multiple base vehicles, multiple build systems, multiple model lines and multiple roof variants, all individually configurable. That complexity is a strength for buyers who know exactly what they want — but it's also a brand problem. A spec-first brand risks losing the thing that actually sells an expedition vehicle: the pull of where it can take you.
Terracamper needed a brand that could do both at once — sell the feeling of the open road to people still dreaming, and deliver fast, precise facts to people ready to configure a build. Most brands pick one. Terracamper needed both, under one identity, with the same logo carrying it through the ownership change.

Brand Refresh
We kept Terracamper's existing logo and rebuilt everything around it — typography, visual language and wording — giving the brand a fresh foundation to carry it through new ownership without losing the recognition already built since 2004.
The Emotional Approach
We kept Terracamper's existing logo and rebuilt everything around it — typography, visual language and wording — giving the brand a fresh foundation to carry it through new ownership without losing the recognition already built since 2004.
The Practical Approach
For the engineers, we built the opposite register: illustrations and an online configurator designed to inform quickly and factually. Someone ready to spec a six-figure expedition vehicle needs answers fast — the configurator walks through base vehicle, build system, model and roof variant step by step, delivering a clear, priced information package at the end.
Both Approaches Combined
The brand communication we create for Terracamper always combines both emotional and practical aspects, as seen on Social Media posts, the Brochure or the Website.
Web Design & Development
We designed and built Terracamper's website around the same dual logic as the rest of the brand — emotional storytelling and landscape imagery leading into the practical configurator, so visitors can move from inspiration to a real, priced combination without switching context.
Brochure
We produced Terracamper's brochure — print and digital, running 250 pages — bringing the emotional and practical approaches together in a single document substantial enough to match the complexity and ambition of the product range itself.
The Result
Terracamper now has a brand built to do what the product itself does: handle serious complexity without losing the sense of adventure that makes people want an expedition vehicle in the first place — carried through a change in ownership under the same recognizable logo.
